Matt & Amy's Wedding!

Billy's dear friend Matt Keller got married on Saturday December 17th and we got invited to go to the sealing!  The Barrow Family Reunion in San Diego started on the 17th, but we stayed to go to the sealing and flew home on Sunday the 18th.  The wedding was wonderful!  The sealing was so great, I kept feeling that they are both so perfect for each other and I was just exploding with happiness!  It was great!

Here they are coming out of the temple.  Amy looked beautiful!  I felt so bad for her though because it was FREEZING and she was in short sleeves!  But at least it wasn't snowing!

The reception was like a fairy tale!  It was in a greenhouse type place and it was the most beautiful reception I think I have ever seen!!  I loved it so much.  Amy has good style that's for sure!  You can't really tell how magical it was from this picture...but just believe me that it was extremely magical.

Super pretty centerpieces.  I would have loved them when I was little because they had jewels all over them.  And I love them now too!!

Beautiful ruffly cakes

Cutting the cake

They served crepes at the reception.  They had people making them and flipping them and then you got to put whatever toppings you wanted on them and it was way fun.  Very cute idea.

Their exit was very exciting.  We all held sparklers up and they walked through them to their car and as fireworks went off in the sky too!  It was so magical I couldn't believe it!  It was such a fun wedding!  Oh and the next morning when we were at the airport we saw them there too!  They were on their way to Cancun and had the same time of flight as us :)  That was pretty funny.

P.S.  Happy New Year!!

Christmas fun

We haven't had that much time for Christmassy stuff yet this year, but we have been doing a few fun things.  First, as I mentioned in my previous post, we went over to my Professor's house for a bug/Christmas party!  It was great.

We put up our tree and decorated it!  It's so teeny...but we love it.  Someday when we live in a bigger house we will get a bigger tree.

We awkwardly hung those three ornaments on the top of the tree because we don't have a star...but don't worry, Billy made one since then.

My mom sent us an AWESOME Christmas package!!!!!!!!  It was so fun opening it!

She sent these super cute snowman bowls, the candy, and the table runner!  So perfect on our table!  I love it!!!

She also sent these cute mini stockings

And she sent the heart ornament, tree ornament, and snowman ornament!  So cute!  (p.s. who knew ornament was spelled like that?  I totally thought it had a "d" in it for my whole life.  Like ordament...but that is not a word.  weird.)

Notice there is a present under the tree...that's from me to billy :)  can't wait for him to open it!  There has since been another present added from billy to me!  yay!

We also got to go to Billy's work Christmas Party last Tuesday.  It was fun!  They had the Christmas music guy Kurt Bestor come and play for us!  Apparently he is a really big deal?  I didn't know who he was before then.  But it was such pretty/magical music!  I wished my mom and dad could have been there...I feel like they would have loved it.  Also big news from that party...they gave ALL their employees a KINDLE FIRE!
Can you believe that??  Billy is loving it.  His job really is super awesome.

Anyways, I think that's all we've been up to.  So not that much Christmas stuff.  We want to go see the lights at Thanksgiving Point and at Temple Square, but we're just not sure if we are going to have time this year.  So yep.  I just wanted to blog right now instead of studying.  But I'm almost done with finals and then this semester will finally be over!  And we can go to San Diego!  Yay yay!  So now I for reals should get back to studying.  Bye.

OH P.S.!  Billy showed me this picture today and I thought it was the best thing I have ever ever seen.  So I really need to share it.
Isn't that the greatest thing ever??  Hahahaha

BUG COLLECTION---DONE!!!!!!!

I TURNED IN MY BUG COLLECTION ON THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!  I can't believe I am finally done with that collection!  It was so so so so so sosososososososososoosoo much work and I am finally done!  YAY!  It felt so good to turn it in :)  Here it is all finished:

Whole collection

Box #1

 Box #2

Box #3

Vials

Isn't it beautiful??  And today I took my Lab final!  We had to identify 100 different bugs.  It was way hard but now I just have the lecture final and then I will be done with that class FOREVER!  Crazy, huh?  I can't believe I made it through.

Speaking of my bug class, Saturday night my professor had a party at his house for all of us!  Isn't that weird?  It was way fun!  We all had to bring an insect-themed treat, so I made these cupcakes!

super cute, right?

My teacher had been bug collecting earlier in the day and so of course he brought in the tub of bugs to show us.  Typical scene for my class:  all of us crouched over a tub full of insects and Dr. Nelson standing over us telling us what everything is.  Just thought you would want to see a picture of my crazy professor :)

We made bug ornaments at his house out of salt dough!  It was way fun!  I made Thysanura (silverfish), Formicidae (an ant) and a whip scorpion, which I don't know the scientific name for since it's not an insect :)

So here is what our tree now looks like with all our fun ornaments on it!  There are some new ones that my mom sent me in a package (yay!), those candy canes Jayce made last year and I think they are so cute!  and Billy made that star out of construction paper for the top :)

YAY for bug class being almost over!  Except I'm secretly going to really miss it....
