The drive out to Durango was 7 hours but we decided to break it up into 2 days just to make it easier on Colby. She did great on the drive there, slept most of it and did really well in the hotel room (I think, I can't even remember!)
The resort was pretty incredible! We had these giant rooms, they were like houses. Ours had 4 bedrooms and a loft, it was almost bigger than my parent's house, ha! Everyone was able to make it from our little family, including Dallin, so that was a unique experience.
We spend our few days just hanging at the resort mostly, enjoying the rides and things they had there. Monday was the first day of the reunion. We all met in the big conference room and had dinner and caught up. We all went to bed early. Tuesday we started the day with a resort tour and then hung out the rest of the day. We rode the alpine slide with Cami and Rifka and also did the zipline while my mom watched Colby! That evening we all gathered for dinner again and a little program where we all updated everyone on what we had been up to for the last 3 years.
On the drive. She was a good little traveler! |
Aunt Rachel, Jessica, Aunt Susan, Annie and me! |
Cami and Rifka riding the lift up with us to do the alpine slide on the way down. Look at that view! |
Travis and Cami had baby Peter about 6 weeks after Colby was born so we got them matching Thing One and Thing Two onesies...so cute!
Wednesday lots of people were going mountain biking and I figured I wouldn't be able to go because of Colby but we got her sleeping and I went for it! It was super scary (PTSD from breaking my wrist a few years ago) so I looked like a total wuss in the back going super slow but it was still way fun to do something a little crazy and get away from the baby for a bit, ha! My Dad was super nice and stayed with me the whole time even though I'm sure he would have loved to be shredding up the mountain.
I put this pic of Cami and Peter here because my head is in the background proving that I was there. Ha Billy and I sucked at taking photos this trip! Thanks Cami for the pics :) |
Barrow Fam, minus a few and yes, with my eyes closed :) |
