Thanksgiving!

This past week was awesome. My family came up and stayed in Park City for the week, and we spent most of the week up there with them, which was so fun. It was great to get out of Provo and just relax for a while.

On Monday my family came to my class and saw the snake. Then, they took me up to Park City with them to hang out at the condo they were going to be staying at for the week!

so cute and cozy. They drove me back to Provo that night to be with Billy.
Tuesday I skipped all my classes and just hung out with the fam. Mom and Dad and Jayce came down to Provo and we went to Costco and mom took me shopping for only like 45 mins. It was still so fun! They closed down BYU campus due to a huge storm that was supposed to hit, so Billy didn't have to take his test, so we went and picked him up and headed back up to Park City! We had a fun night chillin with the fam and watching Prison Break with Dad and Cody. :)
My cousin Steven got married on Wednesday! It was so fun going to another sealing besides my own! It brought back memories, and helped me remember the amazing covenants we make to each other and the Lord in the temple. It was a great day! I didn't get very many pictures, but these are the ones I did get:

I love this one...hugging his mom :)Magleby's cake for their wedding cake! What a brilliant idea!

I drew this board for them!I actually stole this pic from my mom...along with a lot of these other pictures haha :) The big send-off! Me and Bill are in the background :)
Jayce and Billy are two peas in a pod...
Jayce thought it was hilarious making crazy faces with Billy and taking pictures of it. So fun. They are both such cuties.
Doesn't that look like Cody is standing against a wall? Well he's not! He's laying on the ground. So funny.
Thursday was Thanksgiving! We started it off with the Orem "Turkey Trot"-- a 4 mile run in what turned out to be 7 degree weather. It was very cold and not the funnest. But we made the best of it.

We did it with Uncle Kenny and Aunt Diane and family. Fun times.
We then had everyone over for breakfast at our place and then we headed back up to Park City to get ready for the big feast! We went over to John and Barbara's Park City house for Thanksgiving dinner with them. It was way fun hanging out with everyone and eating and playing pool.

On Friday Billy had to work :( so he drove back to Provo to go to work and I stayed up in Park City. We decided to have Thanksgiving dinner again that night with all the leftovers, so I helped mom get that all ready again :) Then Billy got there! and after our feast we all went to Salt Lake to see the play "Savior of the World" in the Conference Center. It was a great play and really helped bring in the Christmas season.

On Saturday my family had to leave :( I was very sad and still miss them a ton! I can't wait to see them in like 3 weeks! They didn't have to check out of the hotel until Sunday, so me and Bill just stayed and played around Park City for the day! Well, we mostly just watched movies and ate brownies :) But we did go walk up and down main street and we went out to dinner at the Blue Iguana.

Billy mixing up some brownies...My taco saladBilly's enchiladas

Oh and we also found out that Jon and Kara had their baby!!!! So exciting! They are naming her Scarlett Renee Barnes. SO CUTE! We heard both mom and baby are healthy and happy. Such a great day! :)

We woke up today to a fresh blanket of snow which was so fun. We headed back very slowly so that we wouldn't crash the little mazda :) It was such a great week. Sorry I went into so much detail. But if you want to see even more detail, you can look at my mom's blog because shes really good at blogging! :) sutherlandfamilynews.blogspot.com.

OH and today we set up our Christmas tree! Nope we didn't shower until like 4 today...it's fine.

Wondering whats in that present? Well it was these fun festive blocks! My mom got them for us! I love them.Well, that's it! I am such a lucky, blessed girl! See ya!

Ssssnake

Today in Animal Diversity, my teacher brought in a HUGE python! And I held (part of) it!

There is the whole thing. It was like 20 feet long! Notice how it takes like 5 people to hold the whole thing. It was way cool. Snakes are just like one big muscle...so weird feeling.

Guess who else got to see the snake?!?!?!?! MY FAMILY! They got here right when I was finishing up in class and they met me up on campus and came and saw the snake. I'm so excited they are here!! It's going to be such a fun week. :)

Busy busy bees

Well I am finally sitting down to do a real blog post! Me and Billy have been busy bees lately. There is so much I want to blog about!

First, isn't Billy the greatest for writing that last blog post? :) Love him.

Second, I just finished my last exam before finals! YAY! This picture was on one of the slides in one of my lectures during my Animal Diversity class. I was studying the slides again and laughed out loud when I came to this picture, so I thought I would share it with the world. As my teacher said "thats not real, it just shows that frogs have teeth." Really? OF COURSE it's not real silly teacher!

Ok next, our Mazda is getting fixed finally! So right now we have a cute rental car that is actually brand new! It only had 47 miles on it when we got it...its very fun. But we are excited to get our Mazda back too. We are picking it up tomorrow!

So last Friday was me and Billy's 3rd month anniversary! I know, kind of ridiculous that we celebrate every month anniversary, but it makes boring life more fun! Billy got me some BEAUTIFUL pink roses!

Billy says I could make a whole scrapbook out of all the pictures i've taken of the flowers he's gotten me :) I'm okay with that. He also got me some sweet pink skull candy headphones which was such a fun suprise! (I'm going through a pink phase right now...i'm really liking everything pink for some reason and Billy is taking advantage of that haha) I had been hinting for a while I needed some new headphones, so I was so happy Billy got the hint! He's finally learning how to pick up on hints! :) haha just kidding. He's always been good at it.

And little did Billy know but I got him something too! A Magleby's cake! We both love that cake and I thought it was a pretty good idea.We ate the cake in less than 3 days. Gross, I know. Yet awesome at the same time.

It's been really cold here lately. It's snowed a few times :( This is how I feel about that:Yep, I feel like a caterpillar in a cucoon about that. Jk I just feel sad and cold about that.

The good thing about cold, however, is this! :

yumm

Something else funny happened yesterday that I really want to share. So me and Billy have always had this super weird thing that we do ever since we started dating. We both magically think to text each other at the same time in the day, even if we haven't texted each other all day long. Its actually really crazy. So that happened yesterday and it was so funny. Here's the conversation:

Me: "Are you going to class today?"

Billy (got the text at the same time I sent that one): "I can pick you up from work today"

Me: "haha we texted each other at the same time!"

Billy (at the same time as my text): "We texted each other at the same time!"

Billy (right after that text): "I know right?! We're like lovers or something"

So funny. It's happened so many times and I love it!

Other news is that my family comes to Utah in 4 DAYS! YAY! And they will be here for a whole 6 days! I'm so excited! And I'm so excited for Thanksgiving! And for my cousin Steven and my soon-to-be cousin Katie's wedding in a week from today! It's going to be so fun.

Well, I guess thats all the exciting things that have happened lately/all the pictures I have taken lately. Soooo bye!

Faces of Cait

I really should be studying right now. I had a nap and some Advil to help combat this headache that is driving me nuts. Now the headache has mostly faded away and I should be studying for a test, but I really wanted to put these pictures up. These are all of my beautiful wife, Caitlin, who makes me smile all day long :) and this is why...
Here she is studying at the library with me before taking her test that she got a 92% on! Yeah!
This is at Thanksgiving Point. I just really like this picture.
Some of her favorite things as a child are her favorite things as an adult too - like being right in the corner of the white counter and eating the leftover cake frosting.
I love you Caitlin
