Lauren and Dan's Wedding!!

So my BFF Lauren got married a few weeks ago on October 8th (I know this post is a little behind...)!!  It was seriously SO fun.  Our dear friends Caitlin and Clayton came up all the way from Arizona for the wedding too which made it that much better!  It was such a great weekend!

Well first, the week before on October 1st, we had a bridal shower for Lauren!  I was in charge of planning the games, which I was nervous to do but they turned out to be super funny.  Here's me and Lauren at the shower:

and here's the fun toilet paper wedding dress game we played:
hahaha it was so hilarious.  Our dress was pretty immodest.  We were combining the wedding day and wedding night into one outfit...what?  Haha anyways, thanks Anna for the pictures!  I stole them from her blog...oh Lauren's dear friend/roommate Anna and Lauren's sister Jana were the ones to plan everything else for the shower.  It was so fun guys!

So on Friday the night before the wedding we were able to go to the Timponogos temple and be there with Lauren as she took out her endowments.  It was so fun and exciting to be there to see someone I love take out their endowments for the first time.  It brought back memories of when I went through and how weird and exciting everything was.  I love being a part of this church!  When I go to the temple I always get the feeling that this church is so true and everything I'm doing is so right.  It's a neat feeling.

Anyways, the next day was wedding day!  And it was SO fun!  Have I said that enough?  Don't think so.  Everything was perfect.  We carpooled up to Salt Lake with Caitlin and Clayton which was so fun in itself.  Then we got to go to the sealing in the beautiful Salt Lake temple!  I'd never been in there before so it was way cool.  The sealing was awesome and Lauren and Dan are just the cutest.  That of course brought back memories of when we were sealed and it was amazing to think that ours was over a year ago.  I'm SO glad I got married to Billy!  Best decision ever!

Then we waited outside (in the freezing cold!  But at least it wasn't raining...or snowing) for them to come out of the temple.  Boo yeah!
Lauren's dress is SO pretty, don't you think??

I look like a dying turtle in this picture...but oh well what can ya do.  Me, Caitlin and Lauren!  We're the three best friends that anyone could have! (name that movie)

Billy being a cutie holding our flowers...

After the sealing and pictures, we headed down to a little clubhouse in Alpine for the Luncheon!  We didn't take any pictures there, but it was so delicious.  And, of course, fun.  We were so glad that Caitlin and Clayton came because we would have had no one to hang out with otherwise haha!  It was great.

Then all four of us went to Cabella's for a little bit to kill some time before the reception.  We just spent time looking at fish and books about hunting and stuff.  Then we went to the reception place to help set up and oh my goodness the place was like a dream!!  It was at this place called Wadley Farms, this adorable little farm complete with Rapunzel tower and big red barn.  It was so cute so me and Caitlin wanted to take pictures like crazy, and we were dragging our husbands into them.

Cuties :)

And here is a picture of Billy and Clayton sneaking off together to somewhere magical...hahaha

Here's a sampling of one of the group pictures in front of the barn from Anna Gleave Photography (thanks Anna, took this picture from facebook :) ).  It was so fun taking pictures there!  And the cows started coming back in from the field and that was really funny/scary because they were running.

So the reception was great.  They did this thing where they have these little charms in the wedding cake, and each member of the wedding party pulls out a little charm and it means something different for each charm.  It was fun!  I got a monkey which means I am fun and enjoy life.  Pretty good one except I don't like monkeys.  Why does everyone think they are so cute and fun?  They are gross and scary and rip people's faces off.

Cutting the cake...they did the cake in the face smash.  Classic Lauren and Dan.

Oh also Lauren didn't like her flowers.  Well she didn't like how they were arranged.  Which was understandable because they looked a little out-dated.  So the bridesmaids all went into the brides room before the reception started and had a good time rearranging her flowers!  And all the bridesmaids flowers.  They turned out much better.  It's kind of a bummer that stuff like that happens on wedding days.  But it seems to be unavoidable, not everything is going to be perfect and Lauren was such a good sport about it.

So then there was dancing, car decorating, and the grand exit!

It was such a great day and we were so happy to be a part of it.  We love you Lauren and Dan!  You guys are so awesome!
