Wedding Weekend!

Last weekend my dear best friend cousin sister (BFCS) Hayley got married!  It was so magical and so fun.  My whole family came out, which was super fun in itself!  (PS thanks to everyone I stole pictures from to make this post possible...aka my mom and Aunt Nancy :) )

Wednesday last week I went and got pedi's with the girls, Hayley, Kim, Lauren and little Olivia.

We then went and did some shopping for Hay for her big wedding night :) hehehe

That night my family got into town!  So I met them at their hotel, we picked up some Cafe Rio, and talked for hours.  I love my family!  I also love that they are willing to listen to me talk for hours :)

Thursday I met up with my family on campus (they needed to buy cherry sours...and by that I mean they bought ALL the cherry sours.  Not really but almost) then we headed to J-dawgs for lunch with Greg and Blake.  Then we went to our apartment and my dad started working on both of our cars.  He jumped the 4 runner and then got a new battery for it, took it to get smogged, etc.  He also fixed the back light that was out in our Mazda.  My dad can fix anything!

That night me, Billy, Dad and Cody went to see Hunger Games and Mom and Jayce saw the Lorax.  I was surprised that Dad loved the movie even though he didn't read the book!  It's such a good movie!

Friday it randomly snowed!  We went up to American Fork area and had breakfast at Kneaders with Travis and Cami before going through the Timpanogos temple with Derek for the first time!  At Kneaders I randomly saw our dear friends Stephen and Megan!  They are moving to CA and had stopped for breakfast on their way out.  So fun.

Then we went to the temple with Derek which was so great!

That night was the groom's dinner at Ruby River up in Sandy.  Here's an awesome picture of me and Billy:

Saturday was the big day!  Me and my mom actually hurried up to Lehi in the morning for Kenzie's bridal shower (she gets married THIS saturday...crazy!) and then hurried back down to get dressed and get to the temple.  The sealing was awesome.  They were so ready to get married, it was so magical.

My family left that night right after the reception.  It was such a fun weekend!  My family comes back up on Wednesday this week though for graduation/Kenzie's wedding!  Crazy crazy!

Golden day 1 & procrastination

Currently me and Billy are procrastinating our homework SO BAD!  We are seriously struggling finishing this semester.

So today I got my first golden gift!  (My gift for yesterday was the drawings and poem :) )  It was:

2 "golden" plates!  They are actually yellow, and I love them!  We ate pizza on them tonight because we seriously did NOT feel like cooking (we never do).  Billy didn't realize that the golden wrapping paper he bought had gold glitter all over it, so there is now gold glitter all over our house.  Billy hates glitter so much because it gets everywhere.  Have you ever noticed that?  Like you will find a little speck of glitter on your face 2 days after you touch a glittery card or wrapping paper?  Its super annoying/funny.  This was our text convo today:

Billy: "Did you find a gift somewhere?"
Me: "Yep!  I see a gift!! :)"
Billy:  "I didn't realize but there is GLITTER ALL OVER THAT STUPID WRAPPING PAPER"
Me: "hahahahhahaha!!"

Billy doesn't get mad so it is super funny to see him get so frustrated about glitter.

Anyways, this is super random but in my procrastination I have been shopping online and I seriously wish I could pull off shoes like these.  I know most of you will probably think they are super ugly (my mom especially :) ) but I have been so into funky, weird shoes lately!  I wish I had more funky style so I could wear these!

Also, isn't this tank so cute?  This with a pencil skirt and a bright cardigan...so cute.  

Ok I'm done trying to be good at picking out clothes and stuff.  And I'm done procrastinating.  Back to homework!

P.S.  We can't wait until we don't have to live in an apartment anymore.  Especially sharing a wall on each side and top and bottom with neighbors.  I'll just leave it at that.

Birthday Surprise!

Sooooo this morning I woke up and walked out of the room to Billy filming me with the camera (won't be including that video).  Haha I saw along the wall a bunch of drawings on gold paper and at the end a poem:

How awesome is that???  I'm so excited!  I get to look forward to every day this month!!  Apparently Billy got up in the middle of the night last night to draw all these.  Kind of crazy, he said it took him like 3 hours.  And so right now he is sleeping :)  I was genuinely surprised though, and so excited that Billy succeeded on surprising me!  Here are the other awesome pictures:

You know how in Batman Begins, Rachel asks after Batman just destroyed those guys attacking her "Who are you?" and he's like "someone like you, someone who rattled the cages."  Yeah that's where this is from.  Didn't Billy do an awesome job drawing Batman?  Holy cow!

Billy said this is his least favorite...probably because its a kind of lopsided star.  Its still awesome.

So yep!  I'm way excited for this month!  Something to look forward to every day!  I will keep you posted on the fun things I get :)
