San Diego for the 4th of July!

We had forgotten that we had made plans with the Johnsons earlier in the year to make a trip to San Diego for the 4th of July with them.  Soooo we loaded up on Friday (the day after we moved out!) and headed to San Diego in the back of the Johnson's car.  It was a super fun road trip and trip in general!  We got in late Friday night.

Saturday I did a long run with my mom in the morning, then all us pals packed some lunches and headed to Pacific Beach for free yoga on the beach Saturday!  It was so nice except we weren't really thinking about sunscreen so I got pretty burnt.  We spent the next couple hours at the beach enjoying the beautiful weather and perfect water!  There is a reason that Pacific Beach is a tourist spot, it's so beautiful!

Beautiful sunset on the road

Beautiful view from our yoga spots

Cute beachy knick-knack shack

Love this couple!

Bestest buds

Dang it was crowded

Super perfect beach day!
After beachin we went home and cleaned up, then headed to Blue Water Market for dinner.  Too bad they were out of lobster!  What?!  We were ticked.  Soft shell crab is NOT similar, unlike what they told us.  Afterwards we headed to Coronado Island for a walk around the Hotel Del.

Candid dinner shot...you're welcome :)

Classic

We thought this was pretty clever

I'm obsessed with sunsets

Ice cream at the hotel :)

The next day was Sunday so we headed to Sacrament meeting, then went down to the temple to look around and take some pictures.  We tried to go to la jolla cove after but it was the day before the 4th of July so every other person on the planet had the same plan.  So we turned around and headed home.  We had such a good shish ka bob dinner and a late night of playing the game Psych on our phones!  It was a good Sunday.

The next day was the Fourth!  Mom, Danielle and I went and hiked Torrey Pines early in the morning.  That was so nice!  Then we had a big breakfast and headed to the beach.  It was kind of a bummer beach day at Torrey Pines beach, I think that beach is going to no longer be on my list of beaches I go to.  We actually decided to split up for the evening since the Johnsons had some other friends in town and we had a big family gathering happening at Grandma and Grandpa's.  Dad came and picked us up and we showered and headed to OC.  It was an awesome evening full of fireworks, food and family fun!  I love my family!

Grandpa's Mercedes!  I forgot that he had this in the garage.

Had so much fun catching up with cousin Kellie!

Oops...these are slightly out of order.  Torrey pines hike!

FIREWORKS

Love this guy <3

Jayce loves fireworks...as every little boy should!

Tuesday on our way out of town we decided to be tourists for one more day.  We stopped downtown and walked around a bit.  We saw the Star of India, ate at Anthony's seafood restaurant for lunch, saw the USS Midway and Seaport Village.  It was SO fun!  I've never seen any of those things besides the Star of India, so it was awesome!  Our lunch view was incredible as well!  Such a fun day!  On the drive back to AZ we listened to the book the Outsiders, which is such a fun book on CD.  Back to real life in Phoenix!

Our view!

Such good food

They're so cute

Bad lighting but can't beat those seats!

This is where Billy and I got our marriage license
