Labor Day in San Diego

We decided to make a quick trip down to San Diego for labor day weekend, September 5th.  We drove out on Thursday and I can't remember what Billy and I did on Friday.  Everyone was at school and work so we just got to hang out.  Oh that's right we went to the beach for a bit and I think were just lazy at home.  Saturday we had a family day at Mission Bay complete with kayaking!  It was a little chilly but the water was unexpectedly amazing and it was a perfect day.  We had a BBQ for early dinner and s'mores in the late afternoon.  The Johnsons actually decided to come down as well which was super fun!

Sunday we went to church and then hung out at home.  The Johnsons did some sight seeing at Balboa park which is super fun!

Monday was a crazy day for us.  The Johnsons were up and out the door to the beach early.  I got to have breakfast with my friend Megan from high school who I haven't seen in years!  It was so fun and just like old times.  I need to be better at keeping in touch with people.  My mom invited a guy over who gives advice to people who are looking for jobs.  He had breakfast with the family and he and Billy had a good meeting.  Then we went and met the Johnsons for lunch in La Jolla, said goodbye because they had to leave back to Phoenix, then went to Jen and Brandon's apartment in Del Mar to hang out and play with baby Lillian!  In the evening we got to hang out with Cody and his girlfriend Jessica, have dinner and play games with them.  It was a fun labor day!  Wowza!

We drove back Tuesday afternoon and had to hurry because we needed to pick Bruce and Karen up from the airport after their Ireland adventure.  We got there just in time and had fun hearing all of their stories!  Super fun weekend!
