Barnes Reunion/Whit's Baptism June 2-5 2018

Billy drove down I think June 1 and June 2 we headed up to Brea for Whitney's baptism and beach house trip with the Barnes fam!  It was an awesome weekend.

Saturday was the baptism, then getting settled in the beach house at Newport!

This is the only pic I have from the baptism...?  Not sure why.  So I need to find some others.

Night 1 was Saturday night after the baptism.  Then Sunday was beach day all day!  And then ice cream after dinner!

Ceci was seriously OBSESSED with Colby this whole trip and I loved it so much!  It made my life easier knowing she had a little guardian all the time.  And it was also the most adorable thing in the world.

 Colby got really sleepy but we didn't want to haul her back to the room so we just tried to get her to sleep on me and it worked!  It was the cutest thing ever.  She was out for a good hour and a half.

After the beach we went home and everyone got cleaned up, we had dinner, then headed out for ice cream.  Colby was a serious champ this whole trip.  Bedtime was out the window, naps were all over the place, but she did well and slept through the night every night!  She's awesome.

 Monday was much chillier.  After breakfast we rented bikes and rode down to Ruby's on the pier for lunch and milkshakes.  Afterwards we explored Newport a little, some people rode the ferry to Balboa Island while others just hung out at a nearby park.  Poor Colby HATED being in the bike carrier.  She cried the entire way to the pier, a good couple miles.  I felt so bad for her!  Not sure why she hates things like that so much.

 Stealing Roro's snacks.  Poor tired Ro didn't stand a chance.  Colby hated being in the bike seat so this was our next option and she hated this too.  Poor Ro had to listen to Colby scream the whole way.

After our exploring afternoon we headed back to the house.  Some people went to the beach while others just hung around the house prepping dinner.  Fun day!  Each evening the adults would stay up late playing games.  So fun.

Tuesday we checked out of the house and headed into Brea for some Campitelli cookies and Taqueria for lunch.  Afterwards everyone took off back to AZ but Billy and I headed back down to SD.  Colby napped the whole way back thank goodness!

It was seriously such a fun family gathering!  We need to do things like this more often!
