BILLY & CAITLIN: June and beginning of July 2018

The rest of June was lots of fun hanging out with Jody's fam while they were in town for all of June and part of July! We spent a weekend up in Pine, AZ hiking and exploring the forest. It was such nice weather and nice to get away for a short weekend! Colby had SO much fun with all her cousins! She did end up getting sick, probably from all the craziness and wild schedules but she hung in there pretty well and was super sad when all the cousins left.

Back in town, hit up book club with my teacher friends, then backyard taco with everyone! Colby was VERY into the guacamole salsa :) Jenny had come to town with her kids for a week so it really was a full on party!

Our car broke down on my way to Bruce and Karen's one day and Colby rode in Grammy's car like this and definitely did NOT like it haha

June 21st we all went paddle boarding which was definitely a rough idea with a baby ha! I thought it would be fine with Colby, oh man what a noob I was. I lasted less than 3 seconds on the board with Colby and we both started freaking out. I think I really scared her because the rest of the night she was attached to Billy and wouldn't come to me. But it was really fun overall! Jody got stuck at home with a sick kiddo so she couldn't join us :(

The next day Jenny and kids had to head back home, so sad. After we said bye to them Colby took a nap then we all headed out to Pine (near Payson) for a cabin weekend! It was lots of fun and Colby did really well!

Fun hike in Tonto National Forest! It got a little intense for little hikers so lots of us turned back but it was still fun to get out and hike around!

There was this beautiful dripping wall we stopped by on our way out! Colby kept trying to drink the falling water, it was hilarious.

The rest of the day was naps, dinner, hanging out and ping pong for the adults in the evening. The next morning we headed out to do a hike but lots of hikes were closed due to forest fires. So we went to a fun park and played around for awhile before cleaning the cabin and heading home.

After the park morning we headed back home! The rest of Jody's and kids trip was just hanging out around Bruce and Karen's house, bowling one day, and lots of swimming. We were sad when they left around July 11th ish. The 4th of July was anticlimactic this year since Colby was a little sick and not sleeping well. I was getting sick as well. Colby and I flew to Utah July 5th for a family reunion with my Mom's Mom's side of the family (the Kellys).
