Let me just back up a bit to where I last left off. Back in Provo in early December we were so crazy busy. I was trying to finish up classes and finals, Billy was trying to sell our car, we were trying to sell our furniture, move out, plan a ward Christmas party, and we were both sick. It was a rough couple of weeks. But we made it! It was actually hilarious how crazy it was. Here are some pictures to give you an idea...
Gross picture of me packing...we made cookies to use up some more of our baking supplies. Can you see how chaotic the apartment is?
We had to drink out of styrofoam bowls because we packed up all our cups!
Our storage unit all full of our stuff...sniff sniff I miss our stuff
Also Billy's bowling league finished up for the last time (boo hoo) and Billy ended up with the highest average in the league! His bowling name is Viper. Boo ya Billy!
We had a Sutherland cousin party hosted by Kim up in Draper that was so fun! We ate, played a white elephant game, and chatted for hours. We love our cousins! We also love little Olivia yo-yo who was being so so cute all night!
As I mentioned earlier, we planned a ward Christmas party. Well, it was Billy's Elders Quorum's turn to plan the ward activity so the planning got procrastinated to the day before and we had a lot to do on an early Saturday morning before the party! I am giving myself equal credit for this party because I helped a lot. Haha we think it turned out pretty well!
Billy's last day at Nu Skin...(ignore that he has his running shoes on, he promises he's not a loser wearing running shoes and jeans)
More apartment chaos and eating one of our favorite meals for the last time...
The few days before we were supposed to leave were crazy with packing, taking things to the storage unit, deciding what clothes we were going to bring to DC and pack our bags, and trying to sell our car!! Ahhh so on the day we were supposed to leave, we woke up way early and cleaned our whole apartment! We also had to make a few more trips to the storage unit. Our whole ward was over at our apartment building that morning helping another couple move out so they were also in and out of our apartment chatting, helping, and taking our food that we were going to throw away. Then at like 11:50 the guy who was buying our car came over to get it AND our landlord came over to do our final checkout AND we were leaving at 12:15 for the airport. It was insane. But we made it! And once we were on the plane we were so relieved and both fell asleep! I'll blog later about our San Diego visit and our first few days here in DC...which have been so weird/crazy/different!
Oh my goodness, that makes me tired just thinking about it. But jealous because you're done moving and we're just about to start. . . like as soon as I get off the computer. I can't wait to hear more about DC!!!
