Thanksgiving!

This past week was awesome. My family came up and stayed in Park City for the week, and we spent most of the week up there with them, which was so fun. It was great to get out of Provo and just relax for a while.

On Monday my family came to my class and saw the snake. Then, they took me up to Park City with them to hang out at the condo they were going to be staying at for the week!

so cute and cozy. They drove me back to Provo that night to be with Billy.
Tuesday I skipped all my classes and just hung out with the fam. Mom and Dad and Jayce came down to Provo and we went to Costco and mom took me shopping for only like 45 mins. It was still so fun! They closed down BYU campus due to a huge storm that was supposed to hit, so Billy didn't have to take his test, so we went and picked him up and headed back up to Park City! We had a fun night chillin with the fam and watching Prison Break with Dad and Cody. :)
My cousin Steven got married on Wednesday! It was so fun going to another sealing besides my own! It brought back memories, and helped me remember the amazing covenants we make to each other and the Lord in the temple. It was a great day! I didn't get very many pictures, but these are the ones I did get:

I love this one...hugging his mom :)Magleby's cake for their wedding cake! What a brilliant idea!

I drew this board for them!I actually stole this pic from my mom...along with a lot of these other pictures haha :) The big send-off! Me and Bill are in the background :)
Jayce and Billy are two peas in a pod...
Jayce thought it was hilarious making crazy faces with Billy and taking pictures of it. So fun. They are both such cuties.
Doesn't that look like Cody is standing against a wall? Well he's not! He's laying on the ground. So funny.
Thursday was Thanksgiving! We started it off with the Orem "Turkey Trot"-- a 4 mile run in what turned out to be 7 degree weather. It was very cold and not the funnest. But we made the best of it.

We did it with Uncle Kenny and Aunt Diane and family. Fun times.
We then had everyone over for breakfast at our place and then we headed back up to Park City to get ready for the big feast! We went over to John and Barbara's Park City house for Thanksgiving dinner with them. It was way fun hanging out with everyone and eating and playing pool.

On Friday Billy had to work :( so he drove back to Provo to go to work and I stayed up in Park City. We decided to have Thanksgiving dinner again that night with all the leftovers, so I helped mom get that all ready again :) Then Billy got there! and after our feast we all went to Salt Lake to see the play "Savior of the World" in the Conference Center. It was a great play and really helped bring in the Christmas season.

On Saturday my family had to leave :( I was very sad and still miss them a ton! I can't wait to see them in like 3 weeks! They didn't have to check out of the hotel until Sunday, so me and Bill just stayed and played around Park City for the day! Well, we mostly just watched movies and ate brownies :) But we did go walk up and down main street and we went out to dinner at the Blue Iguana.

Oh and we also found out that Jon and Kara had their baby!!!! So exciting! They are naming her Scarlett Renee Barnes. SO CUTE! We heard both mom and baby are healthy and happy. Such a great day! :)

We woke up today to a fresh blanket of snow which was so fun. We headed back very slowly so that we wouldn't crash the little mazda :) It was such a great week. Sorry I went into so much detail. But if you want to see even more detail, you can look at my mom's blog because shes really good at blogging! :) sutherlandfamilynews.blogspot.com.

OH and today we set up our Christmas tree! Nope we didn't shower until like 4 today...it's fine.

Wondering whats in that present? Well it was these fun festive blocks! My mom got them for us! I love them.Well, that's it! I am such a lucky, blessed girl! See ya!

Thanks for being part of a super great week. I love Billy more the more we get to know him :). He is such a good brother to the boys, and a loving husband to you. Thanks, Billy!

On my run this morning it was 38 degrees and there was frost on the ground. After running in 7 degree weather, it felt like nothin! And it was way better than running on those treadmills :)!

Thanks so much for blogging...it makes me feel like I was there...oh wait, I was! But I'm not anymore, so please keep blogging!!

  4. Thanks for keeping us updated Caitlin. Sounds like you guys are making the most of a chilly situation. We'll order up some warm weather when we see you over the holidays. Bring your bathing suit. The water's too cold for swimming, but you can lay out and work on your winter tan.
