They have a "toasted marshmallow" shake there and it tastes just like a toasted marshmallow but in shake form! It was sooo good!
After, we decided to head over to the Jefferson memorial since we hadn't seen that yet. It was awesome! It's located on the tidal basin, and we got there just as the sun was about to go down. Beautiful!
Trying to get a good pic with the sunset
Better...
And then we asked someone to take it.
Then Saturday watched conference in the morning which was great. Then we really needed to get out of the house so we decided to go downtown and see some museums. But we realized once we got there we were starving so we went and got some pizza :) (BTW, it may look like I am wearing the exact same thing as Friday...because I am. Yikes.)
On our way to get pizza we found this super cool fountain and decided to take some pics.
Me being a fountain...
Billy doing a sweet jump with the fountain and Capitol building in the back! Boo ya!
Me too...except I'm blocking the Capitol and blinking. Whoops
The Library on Congress fountains are finally on! Yay springtime!
And we saw some blossoms! Also yay springtime!
"We, the Pizza" = yummo
Wandered by the Capitol and did some posing...seeing this building will never get old!
Wandered by some more blossoms...
Eventually we made it down to the festival. There were all these booths and live music and stuff, so we wandered around and looked at everything waiting for the firework show! Eventually the fireworks started and it was super fun! There were so many people there which was kind of a bummer.
Floating lanterns on the water...
Lots of people...
Then all of a sudden these big fish boat things that were all lit up started floating around! Way coolio!
It was a fun, easy going day! We love just wandering around downtown. I just kind of wish we utilized it better so we weren't so panicked now to get everything seen and done!
I love the sunset pictures, and we the pizza. I want some right now! The floating lanterns made me think of Tangled, one of my favorite movies :).
