New Years 2016 in Brea!

After spending a week and a half in San Diego for Christmas, we headed up to Brea to spend a few days with Jenny and her kids and celebrate New Years with them!  I don't really remember what we did each day we were there, we didn't write it down this time :( but I know lots of fun was had!

We took the now journey to Campitelli cookies...so worth it!  There used to be one in Brea but it closed :( so this one was a little farther.  The cookies are soooo good.

Lookin good with my eyes closed
We rented Pitch Perfect 2 for our New Years Eve movie night!

Watching a show together
Taqueria for dinner!  Billy's fave but ended up being not so fave when he was up all night hugging the toilet...yikes!!
New Years Eve...cookies and milk and Pitch Perfect.
Poor Jenny couldn't hack it
 NEW YEAR 2016!

New Years Day we got out and rode around the neighborhood a little bit on scooters/roller blades.  Billy took a long nap.

Whit: "I don't deserve a scooter"
Me: "Why?"
Whit: "Because I fell"
Me: "That's ok, I fall all the time!"
Whit: "That's because you're a beginner."

Oh snap!  Don't mess with this pro!

 Walk to 7-11 for slurpees!
This is Jenny and Carter, not me and Carter as some people seem to believe ;)

Chaos!!
New Years day Jenny and Jason went to a dinner with Jason's work people so we got to babysit the kids!  We fed them dinner, took them to get ice cream and watched a movie.  It was super fun!

The next morning we planned to drive back to Arizona.  I went on a run in the morning up to the high school and back.  It was about 4 miles.  It was a good run!  There is quite the hill that leads up to the high school...that was a beast to tackle!

Thanks Jenny for letting us stay and for entertaining us and feeding us!  You guys are amazing!

  1. Good ole Brea. Love that place. Obviously. Except that Campitelli's is sooooo far now. Now I'm angry. Looks like fun with those crazy kids! Way to run that hill! That used to be my daily run down and up most of the school year!
